Warranty Terms

Straight8 mattresses are made using the finest materials, at a state of the art facility. All our products undergo stringent checks to ensure they exceed global quality standards.

The entire Straight8 range – Mind, Body and Soul – is covered by a 10 Year Warranty. In the unlikely event of a product defect within the 1st year, the mattress will be replaced. In case a defect arises after the 1st year, we use a pro-rata model to determine the value of the product, and offer you a credit voucher accordingly. The Warranty period commences from the day we deliver the mattress to you.

Product defects include sagging, crumbling or disintegration of the mattress. Normal wear and tear or improper usage do not qualify as product defects and will not be covered under the Warranty.

Exclusions :

  1. The outer fabric of the mattress is not covered under the Warranty as it is subject to regular wear and tear.
  2. Damage arising from spilt liquids or bed wetting.
  3. Depressions lower than 1 inch. Mattresses and other comfort products are built to yield to your body weight. So a depression that is equal to, or less than 1 inch, is just the product doing what it is meant to do. A depression greater than 1 inch, on the other hand, amounts to sagging and is hence covered under warranty.
  4. Defects caused by harsh, direct sunlight (do not leave the mattress outdoors under direct sunlight for a long period of time).
  5. Unverifiable claims such as back pain cannot be considered a defect in the mattress, as this could be due to several other reasons like lifestyle, posture etc. The 30 Day Trial period exists for precisely this reason – for you to be sure the mattress is right for you.

Our warranty claim process is uncomplicated and simple. You can initiate a claim by contacting us on [email protected] with a clear description of the problem, pictures to support your claim and a copy of the original invoice.

If the claim is upheld, we will, at our own discretion, either a) repair the mattress, or b) offer you a credit voucher against the purchase of a new mattress (in cases where repair is not possible).

Please note:
1) The cost of shipping the mattress to us will have to be borne by you.
2) In case there is a manufacturing defect and we are able to repair the mattress, we will ship it back to you at our cost.
3) In case there is a manufacturing defect but the mattress cannot be repaired, we will issue you a credit voucher against the purchase of a new mattress.
4) In cases where it is determined that there is no manufacturing defect and we have no liability, we will either a) dispose of the mattress for you, or b) ship it back to you at your cost. Our team will get in touch with you before initiating either action.

If the mattress is beyond repair, you will receive a credit voucher against the purchase of a new Straight8 mattress. We will use the purchase price printed on your invoice, and the time elapsed since your purchase to calculate the value of the credit voucher. Transport costs will not be considered for this calculation.

To keep things as simple as possible, we follow a straight line depreciation model. Here’s how this works:

You purchased a Straight8 mattress worth Rs. 20,000/-. All our mattresses carry a 10 year warranty. Since we have a replacement policy for the 1st year, depreciation for this period will be zero. For every subsequent year, the depreciation will be 10%. So if a product defect arises in month 25 (3rd year since purchase), you will receive a credit voucher worth Rs. 16,000/-, redeemable against the purchase of a new Straight8 mattress. The credit voucher will be valid for use only on our website, and is not redeemable for cash.

When we say days/years, we mean calendar days and calendar years. All decisions on warranty claims, repairs and credit vouchers will be at the sole discretion of The Online Mattress Company.

IMPORTANT NOTE

It is essential that the customer inspects the product carefully at the time of accepting delivery for signs of external damage, such as hook marks, rope cuts on fabric cover, etc. If the product is damaged, please do not accept the delivery. Failure in doing so will make you ineligible for transit damage claims.

Please double-check the mattress size before placing your order. We will not be able to entertain requests for returns/refunds/exchange in instances where the wrong size has been ordered.
